SILHOUETTE INSTALIFT | WHAT IS A THREAD LIFT?

A “thread lift” is a therapeutic skin tightening treatment that uses temporary, biodegradable sutures known as “threads”. These threads are anchored under the skin to produce a face-lifting effect. Also referred to as “suspension sutures,” these threads are a safe, FDA-cleared solution that acts as scaffolding under the skin to support sagging facial structure.

To place the threads, a medical professional will create micro-openings in the skin and insert them using a thin cannula. A treatment provider skillfully places the threads into several face areas identified as main points that need additional support and volume restoration. The suture is then anchored into the muscle and skin and manually pulled until the provider achieves the desired placement. We again anchor the suture once the skin gets lifted into place.
