About Juvederm

• Juvederm Voluma XC is a hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler.
• It can help add fullness, volume, and lift to the treated area.
• It contains lidocaine, a local anesthetic, to minimize pain during injections.


Where Juvederm can be used

• Voluma is FDA-approved for adding volume to the cheek and midface region.

• Off-label injection sites include the nose, chin, temples, and the area under the eyes. Dr. C has been practicing many of these techniques for years.

Safety and side effects

• Mild to moderate side effects, including tenderness and swelling, are common.

• Generally considered a very safe treatment with a low risk of serious side effects.


Juvederm Results

• Immediately after the procedure the treated area may feel and appear swollen. These effects may be even more pronounced in the lips. Between 3 and 4 days after your procedure the area may appear bruised and lumpy but it will settle after a week. The initial swelling subsides between 1-2 weeks after the procedure. Effects last up to two years.


How Long Does Juvederm Filler Last?

• Juvederm results can last up to 2 years in the mid face region and generally 6 months to one year for the lips. Because lips are a very vascular area, they tend to metabolize the product more quickly..

How Much Does Juvederm Cost?

• We would be doing our patients a disservice if we quoted a price without doing an in-depth consultation. This of course is and has always been complimentary. The cost of the procedure varies depending on the injection site, the condition of the patient’s skin, their age, and the number of syringes used in the procedure.
